During the two-hour visit hosted by Recticel’s Commercial Director Kevin Bohea, the MP was shown insulation design and production processes carried out at the site, which has gained industry accreditation for its environmental management system.
Mr Bohea said: “It was an honour to host Mr Brereton. We are very proud of the innovative solutions we have introduced to the insulation market and so much of that good work is carried out at our Stoke-on-Trent plant. The MP was extremely impressed with what he saw, particularly the sustainable element of our manufacturing operation. Mr Brereton’s visit represents real recognition of the contribution Recticel has made to Stoke-on-Trent, the insulation industry and UK business as a whole. It was also extremely useful for us in assisting MPs with their understanding about how our products can assist government with solutions to achieve UK energy and CO2 reduction targets. ”
